Located in Manatee County with a Sarasota address, Whitfield Estates was established in the 1920's as Sarasota’s first golf community. This historic community dates back to the 1920s. You will find homes along the greens and fairways of the Sara Bay Country Club, on the canal front and beautiful bayfront estates. Some of the older houses have been razed making way for new structures with incredible architectural features that luxury buyers currently desire.
The first 18-hole golf course in Sarasota was Whitfield Estates Country Club, built in the 1920s on the site of the current Sara Bay Country Club. Famed golfer Bobby Jones played the Donald Ross designed course in an opening match in 1926.
